As the year winds down a lot of things come to an end. An oft-forgotten ending is insurance benefits! Take advantage of those paid-off deductibles before the clock resets and get that mole you’ve been meaning to get looked at examined. Not only will your wallet thank you, your skin will to. Start 2021 off right with a clear head and the security of knowing the status of your health.

Get a skin check

Skin checks are critical but sometimes can fall to the wayside as the stress of everyday life piles up. We recommend a skin check every year or two for the average person — more for a patient with a history of excessive sun exposure or previous skin cancer. Just like any routine checkup, this is a great way to ensure skin safety and give yourself peace of mind going into the holidays and the new year.

Remove unwanted warts and moles

First and foremost, we’ll make sure that none of the new lumps and bumps that have cropped are a source for concern. Once we’ve checked your skin for anything serious we’ll move onto addressing the bump itself. Wart, skin tag and mole removal is quick and relatively pain free. After numbing the skin, we’ll use scissors or a scalpel to remove the spot. Note that we may also send the removed portion to a laboratory for microscopic examination — something that insurance typically covers. This is done to ensure there isn’t an underlying issue such as melanoma or to diagnose a potential skin condition.

Treat your skin condition

Whether you suffer from psoriasis, roasacea, or acne, you can find relief. Come in and have our top tier dermatologists diagnose your skin condition and work with you towards a solution. When you come in we’ll create a treatment plan tailored to meet your individual needs. Depending on the severity of your symptoms, the location, and the type of skin condition. Treatment might include a topical or oral medication that we will perscribe, or an in-house treatment such as an injection or light therapy. No matter your needs, we’ll work with you to find the best solution that is the most cost effective for your insurance plan.

Find the cause of that rash

Have you been putting off getting that unknown rash checked out? Come on in! No matter the location or the severity, we’ve likely seen it and will know how to address it. Rashes are a result of skin inflammation and can be caused by many different things. Luckily they are very rarely life-threatening on their own, but sometimes they can signal something else that’s wrong. Either way, having a board-certified dermatologist take a look is never a bad idea.
